Helping Sayid

We found a touching article in the Jewish Ledger this week about Sayid and how he was helped with his treatment of Glycogen Storage Disease. Thanks to Alyssa’s Angels Fund started by Gayle and Steve Temkin, Sayid was able to visit Florida from Afghanistan for a week of treatment. Sayid and his family were also given 135 boxes of cornstarch to take home with them. The boxes of cornstarch were collected by Ethan Aronson from his bar-mitzvah and given to the GSD program at the University of Florida.

What a life-changing experience to be part of Sayid’s story. As for you, Ethan, wherever you reached into your heart to collect all that cornstarch, I hope you never lose your way to that same place. You, too, are an angel.
